Alfredo Vela IV has been charged with sexual battery after he allegedly touched a woman while on a flight.

NASHVILLE, TN — A 30-year-old Texas man has been charged with sexual battery after he allegedly groped a woman sitting next to him on a Southwest Airlines flight into Nashville Sunday night.

Alfredo Vela IV had a brief conversation with the victim on the flight before she fell asleep, the Tennessean reported. The woman claims Vela then rubbed her back, touched her inner thigh, breast, and tried to put his hand up her shirt, the Tennessean added, citing the arrest affidavit. Vela admitted to police that he touched the victim's back, TV station WSMV reported.

Vela was arrested and booked in Davidson County Jail. He posted the $5,000 bond early Monday morning.
