• Aransas Pass appoints interim city manager and secretary after abrupt leadership departure (kristv.com) — Aransas Pass residents are seeing quick changes at City Hall after the city council accepted City Manager Jim Winkelmann's abrupt resignation and named longtime staffer Sal Hernandez as interim city manager and Sierra Jimenez as interim city secretary. Officials say the move won't cost taxpayers extra and should actually save about $6,000 a month, while Hernandez promises stability, consistent services, and continued progress despite the sudden departure.
