• New developments on Argyle's west side put on pause while roads catch up - Cross Timbers Gazette Southern Denton County Flower Mound (crosstimbersgazette.com) — Argyle has temporarily halted most new development on its west side along FM 407 between I-35W and Hwy 377, after the Town Council approved a 90-day moratorium that could be extended. Existing projects, including new Argyle ISD schools, churches, and the Heath Tract, will continue, while the town presses Denton County and TxDOT on road-widening plans and traffic concerns through Argyle.
   

• Local golfers take aim at another shot at state - Cross Timbers Gazette Southern Denton County Flower Mound (crosstimbersgazette.com) — Argyle golfer Blake Ladner is back after a standout freshman season, aiming to help Argyle repeat its district and regional golf titles and return to state. He and three Marcus High players from nearby Lewisville are using last year's near-miss as motivation through this fall's tournaments and practices.
