In Arlington Texas Bishop establishes a "personal parish" for the Ghanaian Catholic community; a 1st in USA (blogspot.com) — Arlington is now home to St. Matthew Ayariga Parish, the first Ghanaian national Catholic parish in the United States and the 93rd parish in the Diocese of Fort Worth. The Ghanaian community, long worshiping at St. Joseph Church, will move into a renovated former Methodist church in south Arlington, with dedication Masses planned for late January 2027. The parish will welcome all while highlighting Ghanaian Catholic culture and faith.
   

2. Fatal Arlington House Fire Under Investigation (arlingtonnetwork.com) — Investigators are probing a deadly house fire on the 800 block of Big Fork Drive in Arlington after firefighters found a man's body inside the home Sunday morning. Arlington fire, police, and the Tarrant County Medical Examiner are working together to determine how the blaze started and how the victim died. Officials are also urging residents to check smoke alarms and practice home escape plans.
   

3. The View Ahead for Downtown Arlington (arlingtontoday.com) — Downtown Arlington is preparing for a leadership transition as longtime president Maggie Campbell retires and her mentee steps into the role, aiming to keep momentum going. They outline priorities like walkability, better links to the Entertainment District, smarter parking, and recruiting new businesses, with a 20th‑anniversary annual meeting on November 19 inviting residents and partners to stay engaged.
   

4. A Family Woven Into Arlington: The Cravens Family's Generations of Service and Leadership (arlingtontoday.com) — Generations of the Cravens family have helped shape Arlington's schools, downtown, parks, and civic life, from early medical practice in the 1880s to today's business and community leadership. 5. Arlington Fire Department helps contain Ross Fire (theshorthorn.com) — Arlington firefighters are on the front lines of the massive Ross Fire burning in Palo Pinto and Jack counties, with about 16 local crew members deployed for two‑week rotations.
