With proof of residency, you can drive in via Doug Russell Road, shred up to two boxes of documents on-site, and drop off a wide range of household electronics for safe disposal.
2. Arlington council approves incentives, lease to bring in two new companies (fortworthreport.org) — Arlington City Council has approved incentives to bring Advanced Composite Structures' U.S. headquarters to the Arlington Business Center near the municipal airport and to relocate SiNaCa Studios into a larger city-owned space downtown. These deals are expected to create at least 40 skilled jobs, drive millions in capital investment, and boost foot traffic and arts activity around the Downtown Arlington Farmers Market.
3. Arlington 'Ripe For Development' As It Carves Out DFW Identity (bisnow.com) — Major redevelopment is reshaping key parts of Arlington, with the aging Lincoln Square becoming the new Anthem mixed-use district and upgrades underway at Arlington Highlands. City and private partners are targeting underdeveloped areas between downtown and the Entertainment District, aiming to add restaurants, housing, offices, and more walkable spaces that could change where you shop, work, and spend free time locally.
4. Welcome to Shakespeare live! (arlingtontoday.com) — Halloween weekend in Arlington will feature free outdoor performances of Macbeth at Levitt Pavilion and the first-ever Shakespeare LIVE RenFest in downtown. From October 29–31, 2026, you can enjoy live theater, artisan vendors, food trucks, and Renaissance-themed fun, with a family-friendly festival by day and a more mature Shakespeare production in the evening.
5. Arlington special tax bonds keep AA+ rating as Fitch shifts outlook to stable (tradersunion.com) — Arlington's special tax bonds have kept their AA+ rating, with Fitch now shifting the outlook to stable thanks to the city's broad, resilient economy and disciplined finances. For residents, this strong credit profile helps support steady city borrowing costs and signals confidence in Arlington's long-term revenue growth and ability to weather economic ups and downs.
