This two-and-half month old female Domestic Shorthair is a black, red and white Calico. While our feature cat Remi has a similar name to an animated character Remy, a precocious rat in a beloved film, this cat bears little resemblance to her namesake. Our Remi is interested in humans (like the other Remy) but for a different reason. She likes to be engaged in playtime with appropriate toys. She has a keen curiosity and an adventurous spirit. Remi will seize the opportunity to just lounge when she has a chance. With the proper encouragement and affection, Remi could probably excel at being a lap cat. This two year, three-and-half month old male Labrador Retriever is yellow in color and weighs 70 pounds. What a transition Drum has made! When he first came to the shelter, he was very timid and shy seemingly afraid of his own shadow. After having daily interactions with the shelter staff, he has come around. He now enjoys his "rendezvous" with the staff and volunteers. He can still have some shy moments, but he seems to come out of them quickly. Walking well on a leash is achievable as long as Drum is given the freedom to sniff and take in the world along the way. A patient family that will encourage his interaction and provide exercise opportunities and LOTS of affection would be his choice. Drum is in Dog Adoptions (DA) 4, and his ID number is 45122786.
