Arlington Animal Services Share A Recipe To Help A VIP (A Very Important Pet)!

Very Important Pets (VIPs) at Arlington Animal Services hope you will share a favorite recipe for humans or for pets in a new, upcoming e-cookbook!

If you, a friend, or loved one is an animal lover, with a favorite recipe, please share it and help a very important cause! All donations of recipes with donations for an e-cookbook will support VIPs at the shelter.
This is what Community Services Supervisor Christie Compton stated about VIPs at the Animal Services Center: “Sometimes there are animals in the shelter that just need a little more networking or attention from the public. We call these pets VIP’s here at AAS. These animals just need a little more TLC, love, training, are harder to place, or haven’t found the right family yet. All the animals at AAS are important and special, VIP Pets just need a little more help than others.”

Submit a favorite photo of your adopted or rescued pet, with a brief bio along with your recipe for an appetizer, salad, main course, side dish, dessert, etc. for human consumption – and/or a recipe for a pet-friendly tasty treat to publish in the section of the cookbook dedicated to chow for furry friends!

How to submit a recipe (steps)
- Click here to make a $10 donation to help Arlington Animal Services VIP pets.
- Email your favorite recipe, and a picture of your beloved pet to AnimalServices@Arlingtontx.gov. Please include the name of your pet and a brief bio to be featured alongside your recipe!
- Be on the lookout for a confirmation email letting you know that the recipe and picture has been received!
- By donating a recipe for our e-cookbook, you will receive a completed version of the cookbook estimated to be sent out the first of July!

How will I receive the e-cookbook?
The e-cookbook will be sent via email to the email address used to submit your donation.
Can I submit more than one recipe?
Absolutely! For every $10 donation to AAS VIP pets, you can submit a different recipe.
What kind of recipe can I submit?
Appetizers, main courses, salads, side dishes, even pet friendly treats! Any and all recipes are welcome and will help add a variety to the cookbook!
I have a recipe for pets… can I submit this for the cookbook?
Yes! Pet friendly treats welcome!
Can I purchase an e-cookbook without submitting a recipe?
Yes! A donation towards our VIP Pets will guarantee you an e-cookbook.
