Arlington Aquatics' Junior Lifeguard Program Is Now A New Summer Camp

Arlington Aquatics is expanding its successful junior lifeguard program to a 6-week camp. This camp is created to teach lifesaving skills in a fun hands-on environment. Participants can participate in all 6 weeks, or individual weeks as schedule allows.

Junior Lifeguarding Camp is designed for kids ages 11-15 and helps to build a foundation of knowledge, attitudes, and skills in preparation for a future job opportunity as a lifeguard.

Weeks will be power-packed with coaching in First Aid, water safety awareness, CPR, rescue techniques, and physical skill development activities. Participants will enjoy a variety of water and land activities designed to promote fitness, self-esteem, and teamwork that will enrich the future of each camper. Participants will also shadow lifeguards in order to gain a real sense of the job.

The camp will be held at Arlington ISD Natatorium located within the Arlington School District Athletic Complex at 1001 E. Division St. Camp will meet Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 1 to 3 p.m.
