Members of boards and commissions assist the Mayor and City Council by making recommendations on general policy matters impacting the city. Most boards and commissions function in advisory capacities and some have final decision-making authority. Some may require specialized training and licenses.
Members are appointed by the Mayor and City Council to serve a two-year term. These are volunteer positions.
