Fried catfish quickly became a favorite on the menu, along with the sides. "The collard greens are amazing," McClurge said. "They're cooked with smoked turkey, grapeseed oil and a lot of other special, southern spices."
The restaurant offers a weekend brunch menu as well, with traditional pairings and fresh favorites. You'll find shrimp and grits plus chicken and waffles. But diners have also taken to the menu's sweeter side, including strawberry-and-creme waffles.

McClurge says Arlington's diversity makes it a perfect fit for his southern style. "Arlington has some of the world's best people," he explained. "You've got a lot of energy, the community has a lot of energy."
