Arlington Fire Department Coronavirus Vaccination Site In Seventh Week Of Operations

The Arlington Fire Department has operated a COVID-19 mass vaccine site since Dec. 28, 2020, as part of the City’s ongoing effort to #ProtectArlington and Tarrant County during the coronavirus pandemic.

A team of Arlington firefighters, police officers and other city employees, along with American Medical Response, the City’s contracted ambulance provider, had administered more than 42,475 doses of the Moderna vaccine as of Feb. 3. The Arlington site, which serves Tarrant County and 10 other surrounding counties, is located inside a large exhibit hall at Esports Stadium Arlington + Expo Center, 1200 Ballpark Way.

The mass vaccination site, which is expected to be in operation for months, is just one of the many ways the City of Arlington continues working to Champion Great Neighborhoods, which the Arlington City Council has identified as one of five key priorities. Great neighborhoods contribute to a higher quality of life and greater investment in our economy.
