Arlington Fire Department Kicks Off Second Week Of Coronavirus Vaccinations

The Arlington Fire Department, kicking off the second week of operating its COVID-19 vaccine site, administered 1,500 doses of vaccine on Tuesday and expects to provide all 4,500 of the doses most recently allotted by the state by Thursday, officials said.

Arlington expects the state to send additional shipments of COVID-19 vaccine for the City’s mass vaccination effort, which may last for months. To receive the vaccine, you must register online through the Tarrant County Public Health’s website, meet current state priority vaccine eligibility requirements and receive appointment confirmation.

The City’s vaccine site, located inside a large exhibit hall at Esports Stadium Arlington + Expo Center, is one of several COVID-19 vaccine locations in Tarrant County. The Arlington site is open between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for Tarrant County residents or workers with confirmed appointments.

Arlington firefighters and American Medical Response, the City’s contracted ambulance provider, administered 3,000 doses of the Moderna vaccine last week during the first week of the vaccination effort.
