Arlington Names 5 Finalists For New Police Chief, Community Forum Scheduled

ARLINGTON, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) – The City of Arlington announced a list of five finalists Monday for the police chief position after receiving 74 applications from across the country.

The City narrowed the pool of candidates to 24 in mid-August, conducted another round of interviews and analysis, and invited 10 candidates to participate in the semi-final round in late September.

Will Johnson retired in June 2020 after 23 years with the Arlington Police Department.
