Spring is in the air! The latest Neighborhood Network News is celebrating with free trees and socially-distanced fun. It's a to-do list you won't mind tackling.

COVID-19 Vaccine distribution is now underway at two sites in Arlington. Tarrant County is encouraging everyone to register, and you'll be notified when you're next in line. Click here for more information.

• Grow Something New

Arlington Parks and Recreation’s Forestry and Beautification team will host the annual Arbor Day Celebration on March 12, 2021, at the new East Library and Recreation Center located at Bob Cooke Park, beginning at 9 a.m. This year’s event will include a special presentation at noon to highlight some of the trees growing at Bob Cooke Park. Visitors will also have the opportunity to talk with a certified arborist and ask any questions they have about trees.

Additionally, nearly two thousand free bald cypress, bur oak, loblolly pine, post oak, pecan, and other seedlings will be available beginning at 9 a.m. through the L.E.A.F. Tree Giveaway Program at this year’s event. Click here for more information.

• Celebrate Women's History Month with Arlington Public Library

Arlington Public Library is hosting a series of in-person and virtual events to celebrate Women's History Month, including a scavenger hunt at the Woodland West Branch. The event runs March 15-19. Click here to learn more.

• Celebrate Spring Break Safely

Six Flags Over Texas is offering several new attractions for its 2021 Spring Break Celebration. Guests will still be required to make reservations and wear masks. The event runs March 12-21 and select weekends in April. Click here to learn more.
