Arlington Operation Airdrop Honors Community Heroes On Memorial Day

The Airpower Foundation paid tribute to first responders, health care workers and fallen military heroes Monday, parachuting into Arlington's Entertainment District.

The divers landed near the future site of the National Medal of Honor Museum. Medal of Honor recipients were on hand to watch the tribute along with leaders from the Museum's foundation.

"It's a day for us to stop and reflect and remember the guys that gave us the freedom that we have," said Medal of Honor recipient retired Col. Don Ballard.

The divers are members of the All Veteran Group parachute team.

"We did this for our veterans, for our health care workers, for those folks that risk their lives every day to make this world a better place," said All Veteran Group President Mike Elliott. "What a great day."
