Dog of the Week #1 - Meet Emma

This eleven-month-old female Retriever mix is blue and brindle and weighs 33 pounds. The name Emma is said to mean “whole” or “universal” –a perfect fit for a dog who can be your whole world. After overcoming a little shyness at first, she loves attention. She shows her affection by hugging your leg. Being involved and chasing toys seems to pique her interest even though she doesn’t always retrieve the toy. Since she is still somewhat young, Emma would probably benefit from some structured training classes to improve her leash walking and other trainable commands. Dog of the Week #2 - Meet Hogan

This two-year-old male Pit Bull Terrier mix is grey and white in color and weighs 51 pounds. Need a dog that likes to play ball soccer style? Hogan can probably meet that requirement. He’s super active, loves to play ball and can entertain himself rather successfully. While toys and treats are high on his list of favorite things, being petted runs a close second. After playtime, Hogan is content to be on the receiving end of belly rubs.
