Cat of the Week – Meet Capone

This three-year-old male Domestic Shorthair is white and black in color. Some would say that black and white cats are more special than other cats. Capone probably lives up to that standard. While he can look a little rough around the edges, like "Scarface" Capone, he's really very sweet. His moustache, white on one side and black on the other side lends him a certain "je ne sais quoi". He's not considered untouchable as he likes hanging out with humans and being petted. A penchant to wander off for an adventure on his own to satisfy his curiosity usually results in his coming back for more attention. Come to the shelter and adopt Capone and provide him his new "purrever" home. Capone is in Cat Adoptions (CA) 17, with ID number 44326101. While appointments are no longer necessary for seeing animals the number of persons allowed to enter the shelter at one time is limited.

Dog of the Week – Meet Helena

This two-year-old female American Pit Bull Terrier mix is tan and white in color and weighs 50 pounds. Helena, after being at the shelter for a little while, upped her game and changed from being a little timid to being an adoptable dog. She exhibits good manners including responding to the command of "sit" and walking well on a leash. She takes treats easily and loves spending time with the shelter staff members. Playtime is special to her as well. Helena would probably do best with an active family. Make Helena the empress of a new "empire", a new furever home. Helena is in Dog Adoptions (DA) 7, with ID number 44347204. While appointments are no longer necessary for seeing animals the number of persons allowed to enter the shelter at one time is limited.
