The Arlington Police Department was notified today by the National Association of Town Watch that the department has been awarded First Place in their national awards program that recognizes community and department participation during National Night Out. Even in the midst of the pandemic, the department found a safe and alternative way to celebrate with residents and business owners in October of this year by designating four locations across the city to celebrate with employees. The awards program requires agencies to submit a detailed package that highlights the activities and planning of the annual event.
