The City of Arlington and Republic Services would like to thank our residents for their patience and understanding while crews work diligently to collect the additional curbside trash generated with so many families practicing social distancing at home. During this time we would like to remind our residents to please bag all curbside trash to keep crews safe while handling household wastes. In order to focus on the increase residential volume to keep our curbs clean, Republic Services will no longer be collecting bulk, brush and limb debris curbside.
To Protect Garbage Collection Crews
Please place all trash in tightly secured plastic bags.

Please DO NOT:
- Do not place trash in boxes or other unsecured receptacles.
- Do not place trash into any type of container. Only trash bags are acceptable curbside.
- Do not place bulk and yard waste out for collection at this time. Due to the expected increase in residential trash volumes, crews must focus on collecting normal household materials that pose a health risk to the community.
To Protect Recycling Crews
- Please continue to place your recycle materials loosely into your recycle bins.
- Please DO NOT bag your recycle materials. It takes additional work for recycling crews to de-bag these materials. De-bagging materials can also pose a health risk to employees.
The City of Arlington is in constant communication with Republic Services and we will continue to keep our residents updated on any impacts to curbside collection services throughout the pandemic. Residents with questions may email us at recycling@arlingtontx.gov or call the Action Center at 817-459-6777. Please visit the city's coronavirus webpage at www.arlingtontx.gov/coronavirus to stay up to date with closings and virus related service impacts.
