Arlington Water Utilities Offering Rain Barrel Rebate In October
The free online program will explore the benefits of rainwater harvesting for your garden and the environment.

Want to learn more about rainwater collection and start the this fall off right with a new 55-gallon rain barrel at your home? A program presented by Arlington Water Utilities, Arlington Public Libraries and Tarrant Regional Water District can help.

Residents are invited to take part in a virtual class from Texas A&M AgriLife Water University called Saving FROM a Rainy Day: DIY Rain Barrel Class from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20. The free online program will explore the benefits of rainwater harvesting for your garden and the environment. Visit this link to sign up for the class only.
In addition, Arlington residents can purchase a rain barrel from Water University and pick it up the morning of Saturday, Oct. 24 in the parking lot of the Southwest Branch of the Arlington Public Library, 3311 SW Green Oaks. The first 25 residents to purchase a rain barrel will receive a $25 rebate (off of the $50 purchase price) from Arlington Water Utilities and Tarrant Regional Water District. Rain barrels are recycled food-grade containers and are roughly 24" wide by 36" tall. Visit this link to sign up for the class and purchase a barrel.
