The U.S. Navy Blue Angels flew over Arlington Wednesday to thank the healthcare workers on the front lines of the coronavirus pandemic.

Staff members at Medical City Arlington were able to step outside for a few moments to enjoy the show.

“To see them just brings chills to every one of our staff,” said Medical City employee Sicily Reed. “We feel honored.”

“You can’t be American and not have chills when these planes fly over,” said Medical City Dr. Eric Benink. “It’s a very proud moment for me and I’m sure the rest of the hospital.”

The Blue Angels are performing similar flyover tributes across the country.
