Farmers Branch Fall Fest

The City of Farmers Branch Parks and Recreation is thrilled to announce the inaugural Farmers Branch Fall Fest. Taking place on October 10, 2026, at the Farmers Branch Historical Park, this autumnal celebration brings the best of the city's long-standing Halloween in the Park and Haunts & Houses traditions with the debut of the Spooky Dash 5K & 1-Mile Fun Run into a single, action-packed community experience.

The event kicks off early in the morning with the Spooky Dash 5K & 1-Mile Fun Run. Runners, walkers, and families are encouraged to lace up their shoes and don their favorite Halloween costumes to navigate scenic routes winding through the Farmers Branch Historical Park, Gussie Field Watterworth Park, Mustang Station, and surrounding neighborhoods. Race registration includes a race bib, event T-shirt (guaranteed to the first 500 registrants), and a custom drawstring bag. Timed 5K participants will also receive finisher medals and age-group awards. Space is strictly limited.

Following the morning races, the grounds open for the Farmers Branch Fall Festival, featuring free admission, live stage entertainment, costume and screaming contests, carnival rides, trick-or-treat stations, and interactive game booths. Festival activities include: Trick-or-treating, game trucks, strolling Halloween characters, face painting, balloon artists, and custom photo buttons.
