Name Arlington's New RAPID Self-Driving Shuttle

The future of automobile technology is set to arrive in Arlington this March. Now, the City and May Mobility want your help naming one of the new self-driving shuttles.

Everyone is welcome to submit ideas through Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2021. Submissions must begin with the letter M and cannot be longer than 20 characters, including spaces. Click here to submit your ideas.

Community members will select a winner based on the top three choices. The person who submits the winning name will receive a special preview of the self-driving technology. The name will also be displayed inside the shuttle. The winning name will be announced March 23, 2021.

Looking for Inspiration?

• The RAPID autonomous vehicles will serve Downtown Arlington and the UTA Campus.
• The other shuttles in Arlington's fleet will be named Mojo, Molly, Morocca and McHale.
• The RAPID program is a partnership with Arlington's Via rideshare service.
