ARLINGTON, TX — Arlington's third-annual Homeownership Fair this Saturday aims to help residents learn more about buying a home in today's real estate market, as well as down payment assistance programs, credit repair and other topics. The free event offers informational sessions on topics like mortgage lending, foreclosure prevention, affordable housing programs, weatherization, energy savings, insurance, city home repair programs and more. Residents will have the opportunity to interact one-on-one with exhibitors from mortgage lenders, real estate agents, housing specialists and city personnel. Activities will be available for children ages 6 and up, including a Home Depot workshop, Arlington Library story time and free play, and Parks and Recreation activities. A game truck will also be available for pre-teens and teens.
