Water And Sanitary Sewer Improvements Begin Near UT Arlington

The water and sanitary sewer main replacements are scheduled to be completed this summer.

An Arlington Water Utilities project will begin this month to replace aged sanitary sewer and water mains along Lampe Street, from UTA Boulevard to West Abram Street, before street re-paving begins. Public sanitary sewer main replacements are also set to occur from UTA Boulevard to Border Place, extending to the north on West Abrams Street.

The water and sanitary sewer main replacements are scheduled to be completed this summer. The project is expected to significantly reduce the need for frequent maintenance and provide a new pavement surface along Lampe Street.
Other details of the project include:

  • 640 linear feet of 8-inch water main, and 500 linear feet of 8-inch sanitary sewer main will be replaced along Lampe Street.
  • 1,350 square yards of asphalt pavement are set to be reconstructed.
  • 440 linear feet of sanitary sewer main will be replaced along areas near UTA Boulevard and Border Place.

The planned work along Lampe Street is done in partnership between the Arlington Department of Public Works & Transportation and Arlington Water Utilities.
