• 16-year-old pedestrian killed in hit-and-run on I-20 in Ector County (yourbasin.com) — A 16-year-old girl from Big Spring was killed early Tuesday when a Dodge Challenger struck her as she walked along I-20 in Ector County, and the driver allegedly fled. Authorities later located the vehicle and driver in Ward County, and Texas Highway Patrol is still investigating while withholding the victim's name because she was a minor.
• Big Spring Men Arrested With 50 Pounds of Meth, 19 Guns (sanangelolive.com) — Two men from Big Spring were arrested after Ector County deputies stopped their vehicle in Gardendale and reportedly found meth and a stolen gun, then searched a home and seized much more. Investigators say they ultimately recovered about 50 pounds of methamphetamine and 19 firearms, and both men remain jailed without bond on serious felony charges.
