📰 News we're reading

• Hollerman shines on Blinn defense ahead of Bucs' clash against Snow (southtexasnews.com) — Blinn College’s defense, led by hard-hitting freshman safety K’hrin Hollerman, will be on full display when the Buccaneers host No. 12 Snow College at 3 p.m. Saturday at Cub Stadium in Brenham. Hollerman already leads the team in tackles and has become a vocal leader in the secondary. Coaches say his instincts and communication are key as Blinn looks to turn lessons from early-season setbacks into a statement home win.

• BETA hopes to fly medical supplies across Lake Champlain. It's testing the idea in North Carolina and Texas first. (vermontdailychronicle.com) — Brenham residents may soon see cutting-edge electric planes supporting Washington County EMS, after BETA Technologies and Metro Aviation tested flying disaster-response equipment alongside the county’s helicopter and ambulances here in September. The trials are part of a federal program exploring how electric aircraft can move medical supplies more cheaply and efficiently. While the main project centers on Vermont and New York, Brenham’s tests help shape how this technology could eventually support rural emergency care.
