• Commissioners Receive Contractor Applicants for County Remodeling Projects (brownwoodnews.com) — Brown County commissioners are weighing bids from a Brownwood contractor and another firm for remodeling key county buildings on Broadway and Fisk, projects that will affect public offices many residents use. They also approved new school crosswalks near May ISD, a flatbed trailer purchase, and a private water line, while keeping the countywide burn ban in place for now.
   

• Pamela Ann Hetzel (brownwoodnews.com) — Brownwood is mourning the passing of longtime nurse Pamela Ann Hetzel, whose decades of service at Brownwood Regional Hospital touched many local families. A Brownwood High School and Brownwood School of Nursing graduate, she built her life, career, and family here. A celebration of life will be held later, with details to come.
