2017 Tip-A-Cop Kicks Off Saturday In Support Of SOTX

Cedar Park and Austin law enforcement officers to participate in 12th annual event at local Red Robin restaurants.

CEDAR PARK, TX -- Police officers across the nation are known to "serve & protect" their communities, but on Saturday, law enforcement agencies will focus their efforts on "serving" when the 2017 Red Robin Tip-A-Cop Event kicks off at locations around Central Texas, including the Red Robin in Cedar Park.

The event taking place Saturday, Oct. 21 will have local officers and Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) members serving tables and working for tips to benefit the Special Olympics Texas. As the Special Olympics Texas' largest grass roots fundraiser, LETR, raised more than $1.4 million in 2016 to support over 58,000 athletes in Texas.

All tips earned at Saturday's event will go toward programming and activities in support of the more than 4,000 athletes in the area. The event will take place at the Red Robin located at 5011 183A Toll Road, as well as Red Robin Austin at 13000 North I-35 SB Frontage Road from 11 AM - 2 PM and 5 PM - 9 PM.
