365 By Whole Foods Market Store In Cedar Park Scheduled For April Opening

CEDAR PARK, TX — Austin-based Whole Foods Market officials announced the opening date for their new 365 by Whole Foods Market stores in Cedar Park, coming in April.

In a news release, Whole Foods Market said the store would open on April 26. Two Austin-area companies, Easy Tiger and JuiceLand, will be among the tenants, along with the grocer's Friends of 365 program.

Easy Tiger, a hip hangout featuring a bakery/cafe and beer garden serving snacks and cheeses that operates a site at 709 E. 6th St. in Austin, will serve their full menu at their Cedar Park site — including beer, wine, coffee and baked goods, officials said. For its part, JuiceLand will serve light snacks, juices and smoothies, grocer officials added.

“We’re excited to bring the 365 experience to Cedar Park in our hometown community of Greater Austin,” Jeff Turnas, president of 365 by Whole Foods Market., said in a prepared statement. “We have some great Friends for this location, who will bring shoppers incredible local products that Austinites know and love.”

Company officials describe the 365 by Whole Foods concept as stores providing a "... streamlined, quality-meets-value shopping experience. The stores feature a curated mix of products that adhere to the Whole Foods Market’s industry-leading standards in a shopping environment that’s enjoyable and convenient."

The Cedar Park store comes at a time of overall expansion for the grocer. Officials said they have also signed leases for new 365 by Whole Foods Market stores in Brooklyn, N.Y. and Oakland, Calif. Officials noted the former store, located in the heart of the Brooklyn Cultural District, is the first such store planned in New York.

The company has previously announced six locations in California, including its first store, which opened in May 2016 in the Silver Lake neighborhood of Los Angeles. That store will be located in Oakland’s Temescal neighborhood.

The first three 365 by Whole Foods Market stores—Silver Lake, Bellevue and Lake Oswego— opened in 2016. Officials said they would announce more details about the planned grand openings in the coming days. For the latest updates, click here.
