Teens Accused Of Beating, Robbing Leander Man

19-year-old suspects charged with robbery after victim said he accepted an invitation from a woman to enter an apartment.

LEANDER, TEXAS — Four teens are accused of beating and robbing a Leander man recently, according to a published report.

Destiny Davis and Joel Plasencio of Cedar Park and Noah Cruz of Round Rock, all 19 years old, have been charged with robbery as a result, according to a report in the Austin American-Statesman. The incident said to have occurred Friday just after 10:30 p.m. at the Sarah Apartments, 16760 Ronald Reagan Blvd., according to an arrest affidavit referenced by the newspaper.

The victim told police he accepted an invitation from Davis to enter the apartment as she led him to an upstairs bedroom, according to the report. When he entered the room, the men came out from a closet and beat him, the newspaper reported.

The suspects were booked into the Williamson County Jail. Bail for Davis was set at $75,000 while bail for Cruz was set at $40,000. Plasencio was released from jail on Saturday after posting bond on bail of $40,000 apiece. All were charged with robbery, a second-degree felony punishable by up to 20 years' imprisonment.
