• Elite Metal Finishing Expands to Texas with New $10M Facility (finishingandcoating.com) — A new Elite Metal Finishing plant is coming to Scottsdale Drive in Cedar Park, backed by a city incentive deal that could bring 170 full-time jobs and $12 million in payroll by 2033. The company plans a $10 million investment and will offer select employees $10,000 bonuses to buy homes or lots in Cedar Park, strengthening the local aerospace and defense supply chain.
   

• Carolyn Bagwell (kogt.com) — Family and friends in Cedar Park are invited to honor the life of Carolyn Bagwell at a service on Friday, September 18 at Beck Funeral Home on Whitestone Boulevard. The longtime Central Texas resident, remembered for her work at the State Senate and deep family ties, passed away in Round Rock after a yearlong battle with cancer.
