Ascension Seton acquires 3 Family Health System facilities (communityimpact.com) β Emergency and medical services in Cedar Park are set to transition to Ascension Seton ownership as part of a three-facility acquisition that also includes Round Rock and Lake Travis. The change aims to expand emergency care access in the fast-growing Austin suburbs, with officials saying patients should not see disruptions during the handover later this year.

3. Who leads the Central Texas high school football rankings after Week 6? (statesman.com) β Cedar Park's Timberwolves remain undefeated at 6-0 and climbed the Central Texas football rankings after a 37-23 win over Rouse, setting up a major test against high-scoring Hutto. The roundup also tracks how nearby powers like Westlake, Lake Travis, Weiss, Liberty Hill and Thorndale stack up heading into the next week of district play.

Tip leads to arrest of Texas most wanted fugitive in Cedar Park (hillcountrynews.com) β Cedar Park police officers helped capture a Texas 10 Most Wanted fugitive during a September traffic stop in northwest Travis County after a Crime Stoppers tip. The 24-year-old suspect, wanted on serious charges including sexual assault of a child and stalking, was arrested without incident as state investigators assisted and Crime Stoppers prepared a reward for the tipster.
