Baseball Youth League On Deck For Spring Training
Three divisions catering to sluggers ranging in age from four years old to 12.

CEDAR PARK-LEANDER, TX -- Baseball-loving youth in Leander now have a league of their own.
Leander officials announced formation of a new youth baseball league to start this spring. The newly formed league will be an officially chartered member of Little League Baseball.
The league will have three divisions: Tee-Ball, Coach Pitch and Little Leaguers Majors.

Tee Ball is aimed at sluggers between the ages of 4 and 7; Coach Pitch for those 7-11 years of age; and the Majors for more seasoned players between the ages of 9 and 12.
The two former leagues are focused on developing baseball skills. The Little Leagues Majors division is competitive, offering a chance to participate in the Little League International Tournament concluding with the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pa.

Registration fees varies among the various age divisions: For the Majors age division, the fee will be $125; for the Coach Pitch division, $70; and for Tee-Ball, $55.
Registration began in December, and is expected to continue until Feb. 25 or until the limit for each age division is met.
Registration can be completed online at www.leanderparks.com or by stopping by the Leander Parks and Recreations office located at 406 Municipal Drive. .
Practice for the spring 2016 season starts March 7th with games beginning April 4th.
Tee-Ball and Coach Pitch will play once a week with a total of ten games, while Majors will play either once or twice a week and will play a total of 16 games with a league tournament at the end of the season.
