LEANDER, TX -- A portion of Broade Way will be closed starting this week as part of the Old FM 2243 Project, officials said.   The street will be closed at the intersection with Old 2243 starting Wednesday (Aug. 31), city officials alerted on the municipal website. As a result, traffic will be routed to West Broade Street, which will remain open. Officials offer a reminder: Broade Way is the smaller, short road west of West Broade Street.     City officials said message boards and the city's website will be utilized to update the public on road closures. Those with question can call the city's engineering department at (512) 528-2766.    City officials also took the opportunity in the road update to convey that recent power outages have been caused by storms rather than related to the ongoing road work.
