In Case You Missed it: Mouton's Southern Bistro Break-In Suspect Caught on Camera

The man appears to have been trying to burglarize a Leander restaurant.

In case you missed it, a man was caught on camera breaking into Mouton’s Southern Bistro on Dec. 12. Nothing was stolen, but the suspect caused damage to the office and the door that he pried open with a crowbar. See the full story below.

LEANDER, TX - Police are searching for a man who was caught on surveillance breaking into Mouton’s Southern Bistro Saturday.

A restaurant manager said someone had attempted to break into the restaurant the week before, but had not succeeded. On Dec. 12 a suspect, who may not be the same person, pried open the door of the restaurant using a crowbar.

The suspect ransacked the back office as if he was looking for cash or valuables, but ended up leaving empty handed. The kitchen manager discovered the break in that morning when he came across the vandalism in the office. Police are now investigating the incident.

The manager said the restaurant has now added more lights and has upgraded their security system as a precaution.
