Cedar Park 6th Most Expensive For Renters In Austin Metro

CEDAR PARK, TX — Cedar Park has been ranked as the 6th most expensive city to rent in the metro area, according to a new study.

Analysts at Zumper have just published their Austin Metro report for July 2019, covering 13 cities in the Austin metro area to highlight the most and least expensive cities for renters. Given the reckoning, Cedar Park emerged as the sixth most expensive city with the median price of a one-bedroom apartment remaining flat at $1,050. Two-bedroom units fell 0.7 percent to $1,400.

The Most Expensive

  • Austin, TX saw rent grow $10 to $1,190 but remain the priciest city in the metro.
  • Georgetown, TX was second with one bedrooms priced at $1,150.
  • Buda, TX moved up 2 spots to rank in the top 3 markets with rent growing $50 to $1,120.

The Fastest Growing (Y/Y%)

  • Buda, TX had the largest year over year rental growth rate, up 14.3 percent.

The Fastest Growing (M/M%)

  • Buda, TX also had the largest monthly growth rate, climbing 4.7%.

The Zumper Austin Metro Report analyzed active listings that hit the market in last month. Listings are aggregated by city to calculate median asking rents.
