Cedar Park Among Most Expensive Cities In Which To Rent An Apartment

Median cost of a one-bedroom unit in the city was $1,030 while two-bedroom units grew a slight 0.08 percent to $1,330 in June.

CEDAR PARK, TX — A newly released study on apartment rental rates in the 13-city Austin metro area found Cedar Park to be among the expensive cities in terms of such housing.

The city was ranked 4th in the metro area in terms of its affordability in renting an apartment, according to the June report issued by Zumper. The price of a one-bedroom unit in Cedar Park remained flat at a median of $1,030, while two-bedroom units grew 0.08 percent to $1,330.

The three other cities higher than Cedar Park in terms of rentals were Brushy Creek, Hutto and Austin, in descending order:

Brushy Creek, TX ranked as the most expensive city in the metro to rent. One bedroom units were priced as $1,110 this month.

Hutto, TX ranked second with rent at $1,060.

Austin, TX followed closely behind as third with rent at $1,050.

So, you might be asking at this point: Where are the least expensive cities in which to rent an apartment? Funny you should ask, as the Zumper folks also calculated that:

San Marcos, TX ranked as the most affordable city with rent at $850.

Wells Branch, TX had the second least expensive rent with one bedroom units priced at $910.

Buda, TX followed closely behind with rent at $930.
