Cedar Park Annex Closed After Water Leak, Flooding (Updated)

UPDATED: County officials late Tuesday said the Cedar Park Annex at 350 Discovery Boulevard — abruptly closed due to flooding — will reopen on Wednesday.

"The Justice of the Peace Office, Pct. 2, will review water damage and determine Wednesday morning if they will open for the day," officials said of the planned Oct. 25 re-opening. "Please check the county website www.wilco.org or call before going to that office."

All civil deadlines will be extended until Thursday as a result of the unforeseen office closure, officials said, adding that all other offices will be open. "We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience," officials added.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX — A water leak induced flooding at the Williamson County Cedar Park Annex on Tuesday, prompting its closure.

In a news advisory, county officials said the annex at 350 Discovery Boulevard was closed for the safety of the public and employees.

"Any property tax payments can be made at the nearest tax office in Round Rock at the J.B. and Hallie Jester Annex, 1801 East Old Settler's Blvd., Suite 115," county officials said in a prepared statement. "Any motor vehicle registrations can be completed at any tax office, online or at HEB stores."

County officials didn't indicate if the annex would be closed beyond Tuesday. "We apologize for any inconvenience this causes our customers," officials wrote.
