Cedar Park Cashier Charged With Theft At Walmart Store
Lena Brown, 19, is said to have taken money from the register and loaded up thousands of dollars on her own credit cards, gift cards.

CEDAR PARK, TX — A cashier was arrested after being accused of stealing more than $7,000 from a local retail store, police said.
Cedar Park resident Lena Brown, 19, after loss prevention officers found discrepancies in her cash register at the Walmart located at 201 Walton Way where she worked, according to an arrest affidavit referenced by the Austin American-Statesman. An examination of camera surveillance footage showed Brown allegedly started taking money in late February when she rang up a transaction and took $57 in cash from the register, the Statesman reported from the affidavit.
The pattern of behavior continued when she rang up 11 transactions from Feb. 28 to March 6, with amounts of cash taken from $45 to $350, according to the affidavit. Brown is also said to have taken money by loading several thousands of dollars onto her own credit cards and gift cards nine times between March 3-6, according to the report.

Brown was subsequently arrested and was being held in the Williamson County Jail with bail set at $5,000. She was charged with theft, which is a state jail felony punishable by up to two years in jail.
