Cedar Park Fourth Of July Activities Revealed!
Parade with some 140 marchers, 50 vehicles will wind through city streets, with bounce houses, free watermelon, face painting and more.

do so in grand style.

This will all happen against the backdrop of the bucolic Cedar Park that many call home, a hometown
celebration as close you'll get to a Normal Rockwell painting come to life. That's how we see it, anyway.
The parade route begins at Cedar Park Center and travels south on Discovery Boulevard before proceeding
west on Main Street to the Recreation Center. Parade spectators should park at H-E-B Center at Cedar Park
(2100 Avenue of the Stars) or Cedar Park Recreation Center (1435 Main Street) and are encouraged to bring
comfortable seating. The City of Cedar Park thanks the residents of Cedar Park Town Center for their
hospitality.
Celebration details (4 p.m.-10 p.m.)
Later in the day, the City of Cedar Park will host its annual Fourth of July Celebration at Elizabeth Milburn
Park, located at 1901 Sun Chase Boulevard. The pool will be open from 1 to 8 p.m., and daily pool rates will
apply.
The free celebration in the park will begin at 4 p.m. and will feature bingo, a washer tournament,
bounce houses and free watermelon. There will be live music throughout the celebration. The Posting of
Colors and the National Anthem will take place at 8 p.m.
The professional fireworks display begins at around 9:15 p.m. and will be followed by the βAfter Glowβ Dance.
Fees apply for food concessions, face painting, carnival games, hamster balls, super slide, quad jump,
Races2u, spinner ride, and rock wall.
After the Celebration
New this year, the City of Cedar Park is closing Cypress Creek Road between Sun Chase Boulevard and El
Salido Parkway from 8:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Traffic exiting Milburn Park and vehicles parked east of
Milburn Park must move in an east or south direction; vehicles west of Milburn Park must travel in a west,
north or south direction. The purpose of this closure, city officials said, is to streamline and better manage
the egress from this yearβs Celebration. All drivers are asked to please follow directions of Cedar Park Police
Officers who will be stationed at various intersections in the area.
Offices, facilities closures
City Hall and Public Works offices, along with the Cedar Park Recreation Center and Cedar Park Public
Library, will be closed all day on Tuesday, July 4 and will re-open on Wednesday, July 5 at their regular
posted hours. Trash and recycling service will remain on schedule for the entire week.
Fireworks illegal inside and outside of city limits
The City of Cedar Park reminds everyone that fireworks are illegal both inside the City limits and within
5,000 feet (just under a mile) of city limits. The punishment for illegally possessing fireworks is up to 180
days in jail and/or a $2,000 fine. Firefighters and Police will be patrolling areas both inside and outside of
Cedar Park for illegal fireworks.
So mark your calendar, Cedar Park residents. Fourth of July celebrations will abound throughout the Austin
area. But none will offer you the full flavorβthe understated yet welcoming grandeurβthat is your hometown of Cedar Park.
