Cedar Park Gold Coin Company Owner Charged With Stealing From Customer
Customer bought 500 silver American Eagle coins for $9,705 but never got them and Donald McBride never refunded the money.

CEDAR PARK, TX — The owner of a company dealing in gold coins is accused of stealing from one of his customers, according to a published report.
Donald McBride, 47, has been charged with theft. That's a state jail felony punishable by up to two years in jail.
According to an arrest affidavit referenced by the Austin American-Statesman, McBride, the owner of David Maxwell Gold Advisors LLC, 1818 Golden Arrow Ave, never sent 500 silver American Eagle coins a customer paid $9,705 for, and failed to provide a refund when the customer demanded a refund.

According to the affidavit, McBride acknowledged receiving the cash without sending the purchased coins.
McBride has since been released from the Williamson County Jail on Thursday after posting an $8,750 bond.
