Cedar Park High School Briefly Locked Down After False Report Of Gunman On Campus
A student reported seeing another student with a gun, prompting officials to place the school on lockdown while assessing the threat.
CEDAR PARK, TX — Students at Cedar Park High School endured a couple of tense hours on Tuesday following a false report of a student on campus with a gun.
The school at 2150 Cypress Creek Rd. was placed on lockdown just after 1 p.m. after a student reported having seen another student walking on campus with a gun. By about 3:15 p.m., the lockdown was lifted after it was determined the report was false and no threat was posed.
Police did not indicate whether or not charges would be filed against the student making the false report.
