Cedar Park, Leander Taking in Recycled Christmas Trees
The recycled trees will be used for mulch in city landscaping projects.
It’s the first Monday of the New Year and the holiday season is officially over.
So if your Christmas Tree is still up in the living room it’s time to get rid of it and start living in 2016. But don’t just throw it out, both Cedar Park and Leander are giving residents the chance to recycle their Christmas Trees this year.
In Leander, citizens can drop off their trees anytime until Sunday Jan. 17, at the Robin Bledsoe Park located at 601 S. Bagdad between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m.

Both cities will use the recycled trees for mulch in city landscaping projects and both request that the trees be stripped of all decorations and ornaments before they are brought to the recycling locations.
