Cedar Park-Leander Weekend Guide, May 18-20

CEDAR PARK-LEANDER, TX — From music festivals to vintage shopping, there are plenty of fun-filled events in the offing this weekend for those living in Cedar Park and Leander.

OLD TOWN STREET FESTIVAL

Dancing, music, drinks, food and shopping combine to make Old Town Street Festival a highly anticipated event at the Old Town District in downtown Leander. The Old Town Street Festival is one of Central Texas’ most popular events, a fun festival staged each spring. On the third weekend of May, the streets of Old Town Leander fill with local and national artisans offering handcrafted creations. Texas bands and artists bring the stage to life, and family-friendly activities delight both adults and children. Food vendors provide both healthy and indulgent choices, and local and regional wineries and breweries bring a special flair to Old Town. FREE.

WHEN: Friday, May 18, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday, May 19, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

SPRINGFEST

St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church is the setting for a fajita dinner and live auction on Saturday. The next day on Sunay, Bingo, children's games, food, inflateables, photo booth, petting zoo and music can all be enjoyed. Free parking is available along with a shuttle for the festival from the parking lot at Leander High School. This is a free event, with tickets for food and games available for purchase.

FAIR CITY FIRE CONCERT

Local band Fair City are scheduled to play their brand of rock music at the Whitestone Brewery.
