Man Accused Of Sending Child Porn Re-Arrested For Sexual Assault Of Teen In Cedar Park [UPDATED]

Andrew Glass III was booked into Williamson County Jail under $200,000 bond and faces up to 20 years in prison, police said.

CEDAR PARK, TX -- The man who was charged last week with online solicitation of a minor now stands accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl in Cedar Park, police said Wednesday.

Andrew Glass III was arrested last week after sending child pornography to someone he believed was a minor who actually was an undercover police officer (see story below). In a subsequent press release, police said that after more investigation, Glass was charged with two counts of sexual assault of a child, a second-degree felony punishable by up to 20 years' imprisonment.

After being arrested on the solicitation charge on Oct. 4, 35-year-old Glass was re-arrested by Cedar Park Police on Oct. 11. The 16-year-old victim is the same one from the solicitation incident, police said.

From Oct. 7:

CEDAR PARK, TX -- A Cedar Park man is accused of sending child pornography videos to an undercover police officer he believed was a minor, according to a published report on Thursday.

Andrew Glass III, 35, has been charged with solicitation of a minor, a third-degree felony punishable by up to a decade in prison. His arrest stems from telephone communications Glass had with a police officer posing as a minor, during which the suspect is said to have sent the officer videos containing child pornography and sexual intercourse, the Austin American-Statesman reported.

Cedar Park police said they launched the investigation that netted Glass because he "...had been identified as the perpetrator in a sexual assault investigation of a minor,” according to an arrest affidavit.

An undercover police officer posing as the female victim of the sexual assault used the victim's phone to text Glass via a phone app called KIK, the affidavit details. In response, Glass texted back numerous messages conveying his desire to have sex with the girl, the Statesman reported.

Glass then sent three videos he claimed showed him having sex with women, seven videos containing child pornography and a photo of himself taken in a public bathroom, according to the report. He arranged to meet the girl at the same spot of the alleged prior sexual abuse, and that's where police promptly arrested him.

He was booked into Williamson County Jail this past Wednesday, but was later released after posting bail on a $30,000 bond.
