Cedar Park Man Reunited With Daughters Taken By Mom To Florida

Anthony Jordan gratified to be with his girls again who were taken by their mother to Florida before police caught up with her.

CEDAR PARK, TX — The children caught in the middle of an out-of-the-ordinary case for Child Protective Services were returned to their father Saturday afternoon, according to reports.

KXAN last month spoke with Anthony Jordan after his wife, Sarah, picked up their 10-year-old daughter from Oak Hill Elementary without authorization — triggering an abduction alert in the process. At the time, the couple's three children were in court-ordered foster care after allegations of what was deemed a "dangerous situation" at their home.

Anthony told the news station other foster home children were mistreating his youngest daughter, prompting the children's mother to flee with them to Florida. She remains in jail there on a charge of interfering with child custody, according to the report.

While Anthony hopes the mother of his children is soon released, he told the news station he was relieved to be reunited with his kids. “I always knew we would be back together,” he told KXAN. “I didn’t estimate it would be this quickly, which is a blessing. But they had no allegation or backup of evidence of any abuse, and none of the kids mentioned, ever, any abuse.”

For their part, CPS officials declined to comment given the confidential nature of the investigation.
