Cedar Park Man Seeks Return Of Dog After Vehicle Is Stolen

Shane Connant said he left his beloved Chihuahua in the car as he entered convenience store before seeing someone drive off.

CEDAR PARK, TX — A man is pleading with the public to help him reunite with his dog after his car was stolen with the animal inside, according to a published report.

Shane Connant tearfully told KXAN he was at a Circle K gas station at FM 620 and Hatch Road at around 2:30 a.m. last Thursday when he went into the store, leaving his dog behind in the still-running vehicle. The man told the news station he was in the store for about two minutes when he saw someone enter his vehicle and drive off — with his beloved Chihuahuain tow.

According to the report, the stolen car is a silver 2001 Toyota Avalon XL with blacked-out taillights, a dent in the driver’s door and license plate LPZ 0473. Cedar Park police reportedly are investigating.
