Mia Young was booked into county jail while father is being sought in case involving abuse of 2 girls ages five and eight, police said.

CEDAR PARK, TEXAS — The mother of two abused Cedar Park girls unable to speak was recently arrested in Central Texas, according to reports.
Mia Young was booked into the Williamson County Jail on Thursday on two charges of injury to a child causing serious mental deficiency or impairment, KXAN reported. The charges are first-degree felonies.
The girls' biological father, Aria Young, 31, has not been arrested, according to police. Young, who identifies as a woman, was previously named Jacob Mark O'Donnel, police said. Anyone with information as to his whereabouts is urged to cal the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force at (512) 800-4213. U.S. Marshals officials accuse Aria Young of locking up the young girls in a closet for hours at a time.

According to the report, an officer who was called to an apartment along the 2000 block of South Lakeline Boulevard said he tried speaking with the girls, who are 5 and 6 years old, without success after learning they were unable to respond or answer his questions. Police later learned the girls have never been enrolled in school for a formal education.
While Young has no history with Child Protective Services, she and the children's father were twice investigated for child neglect in California, KXAN reported.
