Cedar Park Officials Lure Oncology Billing, Consulting Firm Headquarters

Revenue Cycle Inc. will receive $433,200 worth of city incentives to defray costs of buying a $5 million building for new headquarters.

CEDAR PARK, TX — At their last regular meeting, city council members approved the granting of more than $430,000 worth of incentives to lure the headquarters of an oncology billing and consulting firm, according to a published report.

Revenue Cycle Inc. officials will buy the $5 million, 30,000-square-foot building currently being built at 5901 Volta Dr., with plans to create 151 jobs, the Austin American-Statesman reported. Among those positions, 114 will have an average salary of $65,000, officials noted.

As an economic inducement, Cedar Park will pay the company $433,200 in incentives, to be paid in installments starting next year and running until 2021, officials said. Those incentives will be performance-based with myriad criteria: That the company complete construction by Nov. 30, 2017, employ at least 98 people by Dec. 31 of next year, and other conditions, the newspaper reported.

The incentive money is drawn from the half-cent sales tax used to fund the Cedar Fund Economic Development Corp., according to city officials. Established in 2002, the company will be relocating from its current location on West Braker Lane in Austin, officials said.
